Budapest VPS & Bare Metal

VPS Server Hosting Hungary with Genuine Budapest IPs

VPS Hungary runs virtual private servers and dedicated machines from a Tier III certified datacenter in Budapest, right in the middle of Central Europe. Every KVM instance sits on NVMe SSD storage in RAID-10 with ECC memory, gets full root or Administrator access, and comes with unmetered bandwidth on a lightly loaded 1 Gbps port. Plans start at $22 a month, are billed monthly with no long contracts, and are usually online within one to six hours of payment.

Whether you need a small Linux node for a VPN, a Windows VM for trading software, or a bare metal box with 192 GB of RAM, you get a real Hungarian IPv4 address, rDNS on request and 24/7 ticket support. This page explains why Hungary makes sense, what each service includes and how ordering works, so you can pick the right server with confidence.

Why Target the Hungarian Market from Anywhere

You do not need an office in Budapest to serve Hungarian customers well. What you need is infrastructure that behaves like a local business would: fast page loads for visitors in Hungary and neighbouring countries, an IP address search engines and directories recognise as Hungarian, and a server you control completely. A virtual or dedicated server in Budapest gives you all three without relocating staff or signing a local lease.

A strong Central European economy

Hungary sits at the crossroads of Central Europe, bordering Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Its economy is closely tied to the wider EU market through manufacturing, logistics, finance, tourism and a growing technology sector. For an online shop, SaaS product or agency, that makes Hungarian users a valuable audience and Budapest a practical base for reaching the whole region.

Local IP addresses support local SEO

Search engines use many signals to decide which results suit a searcher’s location, and server location is one of them. Hosting a .hu site, or a Hungarian-language version of an international site, on a genuine Hungarian IPv4 address helps it look local, loads quickly for nearby visitors and supports placement in local listings and map results. Some regional directories and ad platforms also treat Hungarian IP ranges as a sign of a local business.

One location, many uses

A Budapest node is not only for websites. Customers use our servers as:

  • VPN endpoints that give remote teams or travellers a Hungarian exit point.
  • Proxy servers for market research, ad verification or checking how localised content appears to Hungarian users.
  • Web and application servers for CMS sites, stores and APIs.
  • Email servers with proper reverse DNS for better deliverability.
  • Database servers placed close to European application tiers.

Any legal workload is welcome. Because the datacenter connects to multiple carriers, latency stays low not just inside Hungary but across Central and Eastern Europe, so a single server can cover several neighbouring markets at once. Read more about the facility on our Budapest datacenter page.

VPS Hosting Server Hungary: What Every Plan Includes

Our VPS hosting in Hungary is built on KVM virtualization, which gives every virtual machine its own kernel, dedicated memory allocation and isolated resources. Unlike container-based hosting, a KVM instance behaves like a small physical server: you can install the operating system you want, load custom kernel modules, run Docker, and configure the firewall exactly as you like. All plans share the same core platform, so moving from a small instance to a larger one never means learning a new environment.

Full root and Administrator access

You receive complete control of the VM from the first login. Linux servers come with root over SSH, and Windows servers come with the Administrator account over Remote Desktop. Install web servers, databases, game daemons, VPN software or trading platforms without asking permission or waiting for a support agent to do it for you.

Reverse DNS and PTR records

Running a mail server or a service that relies on reputation? We set rDNS (PTR) records for your Hungarian IP on request, so your hostname resolves correctly in both directions. This matters for email deliverability, for some security checks and for presenting a professional, consistent identity to remote systems.

Unmetered bandwidth on a 1 Gbps port

Every VPS plan includes unlimited traffic on a shared 1 Gbps port that is kept lightly loaded. There are no monthly transfer caps to watch and no overage invoices at the end of the month, which makes cost planning simple for streaming, backups, downloads or busy websites.

The rest of the platform

  • NVMe SSD storage in RAID-10 for speed and redundancy.
  • ECC RAM to catch and correct memory errors before they corrupt data.
  • Multi-homed network with several upstream carriers.
  • Internal firewall plus basic DDoS and intrusion protection.
  • Linux distributions on every plan; Windows Server from VPH2 upward.

Billing is monthly, prices include everything listed above, and there are no hidden charges. If you are deciding between operating systems, compare our Linux VPS and Windows VPS pages. The plan table below lists every configuration with its order link.

Cheap Cloud VPS Plans for Every Budget

Eight VPS plans cover everything from a single-purpose utility server to a busy multi-site host. Each step adds processor cores, memory and NVMe storage, while bandwidth, port speed and network quality stay the same across the range. That keeps the choice simple: pick the resources your software needs today, knowing you can move to a higher plan when traffic grows.

Stacked layers: Heavier hosting, Growing workloads, Entry level, Low pricesLow pricesEntry levelGrowing workloadsHeavier hosting

Entry level: VPH1 and VPH2

VPH1 gives you 2 vCPU, 2 GB ECC RAM and 30 GB NVMe storage for $22 a month. It is Linux only and suits a personal VPN, a lightweight proxy, a monitoring agent or a small static or WordPress site. VPH2 doubles the memory to 4 GB with 50 GB storage for $33, and it is the smallest plan that can run Windows Server. It is a sensible home for a modest online store, a mail server or a forex terminal.

Growing workloads: VPH3 and VPH4

VPH3 moves to 4 vCPU, 6 GB RAM and 60 GB storage at $49, while VPH4 keeps four cores but raises memory to 8 GB and storage to 80 GB for $85. These middle tiers handle several websites behind a control panel, a busy database, a CI runner or a small game server comfortably.

Heavier hosting: VPH5 to VPH8

For resource-hungry applications the upper plans scale steadily:

  • VPH5 – 6 vCPU, 10 GB RAM, 90 GB NVMe, $111.
  • VPH6 – 8 vCPU, 12 GB RAM, 130 GB NVMe, $149.
  • VPH7 – 10 vCPU, 14 GB RAM, 160 GB NVMe, $189.
  • VPH8 – 16 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 200 GB NVMe, $249.

These suit agencies hosting many client sites, SaaS back ends, build servers, large databases and Windows applications serving several remote users.

Why the prices stay low

We keep costs down by focusing on unmanaged infrastructure and handling requests through a ticket system rather than a call centre. You pay for hardware, network and support, not for bundled extras you may never use. Anything optional, such as a control panel or managed service, is listed separately as an add-on, so the base price reflects the server itself. Detailed technical notes and a workload-based plan guide are on the VPS Hungary product page.

Six Reasons Customers Pick a Budapest Server from Us

The features above describe what you get inside each server. The points below are about what it is like to be our customer, and why many people choose a Hungarian provider instead of a general European cloud.

Low monthly price$22per monthVPH1

Low running costs

Our plans are priced for people who would rather spend their budget on their project than on hosting overheads. A capable Linux VPS starts at $22 a month, and dedicated hardware starts at $149. Prices are fixed, so the amount on the order page is the amount on your invoice each month.

No restrictive contracts

Everything is billed month to month. There is no twelve-month lock-in and no early-termination fee. If a project ends or your needs change, cancel the service from the client area before the next renewal date and nothing further is charged.

Low latency across Europe

Budapest is central. Users in Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, Warsaw, Bucharest, Belgrade and Zagreb are only a short network hop away, and multi-homed routing keeps paths short to Western Europe too. For real-time applications, gaming, VoIP and trading, those milliseconds make a measurable difference.

Tested, reliable hardware

We deploy proven server-grade components and check them before they go into service. NVMe drives run in RAID-10, memory is error-correcting, and the facility provides backup power and cooling. Our uptime target is 99.9 percent.

Support that actually reads your ticket

Help is available 24/7 through the ticket system in the client area. Requests such as a hard reboot or an OS reinstall are handled on priority. Because every conversation is written, you keep a full record of what was asked and what was done.

Room to grow

Start small and scale when you need to. VPS customers can move up to a higher plan whenever traffic increases, and most dedicated configurations accept extra RAM, storage or traffic. You are never forced to over-buy at the start just to be safe later.

Together these points mean predictable bills, a server that stays close to your users, and a provider that treats a small customer the same way it treats a large one. If you have a question these reasons do not answer, our contact page lists every way to reach us.

Optional Add-ons: IPs, Control Panels and Management

Every server is delivered clean and unmanaged, which gives you the freedom to build exactly the stack you want. When you would rather not do everything yourself, you can add extra services during checkout or later from the client area. Add-ons are priced separately, so you only pay for the ones you actually use.

Additional Hungarian IP addresses

Need separate addresses for SSL sites, multiple mail domains, several proxy endpoints or isolated services? Extra IPv4 addresses from our Hungarian ranges are available as a paid add-on. Each one can have its own rDNS record set on request, which is useful when every address represents a different brand or service.

Free and lightweight control panels

If you prefer a simple web interface without a licence fee from a commercial vendor, we can install a lightweight panel for you:

  • ISPmanager Lite for straightforward site, mail and database management.
  • Virtualmin for flexible multi-domain Linux hosting.
  • VestaCP for a minimal, quick-to-learn web panel.

Commercial control panels

For agencies and resellers, the industry-standard panels are available too: cPanel/WHM, Plesk Obsidian and DirectAdmin. These are offered as paid add-ons. They make it easy to give each client their own login, automate backups and manage email, DNS and SSL from one dashboard.

Windows Server 2016 and 2019

Windows Server is offered on VPH2 and larger plans. The image is supplied as an unlicensed evaluation, usually valid for around 180 days, and you can activate it with your own licence key at any time. That approach keeps the base price low and lets you use whichever licensing route suits you.

Managed service and backups

Our servers are unmanaged by default, meaning you are responsible for the software you install. If you would like us to take care of updates, configuration or troubleshooting, paid management is available. A paid backup service is also offered so that a copy of your data exists away from the server itself.

All add-ons can be requested through a support ticket, and most are set up within normal provisioning times.

Dedicated Server in Hungary for Full Hardware Control

Some workloads outgrow virtualization. When you need every CPU cycle, predictable disk performance or a lot of memory, a dedicated server in Hungary gives you an entire physical machine in the same Budapest Tier III facility. Nothing is shared with other customers, so performance does not depend on anyone else’s activity.

Server rack with dedicated machines

Configurations available

Our bare metal range is built on Intel Xeon processors, and every machine comes with 5 TB of monthly traffic on a 1 Gbps port and a choice of Linux or Windows:

  • DSH1 – Xeon E3-1230 v2, 4 cores at 3.3 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, 1 TB HDD or 120 GB SSD, $149.
  • DSH2 – Xeon E3-1230 v5, 4 cores at 3.0 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, 1 TB HDD or 120 GB SSD, $179.
  • DSH3 – Xeon E3-1231 v3, 4 cores at 3.4 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, two 1 TB HDDs or two 120 GB SSDs, $199.
  • DSH4 – Xeon E3-1270 v2, 4 cores at 3.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, 2 TB HDD or 240 GB SSD, $249.
  • DSH5 – HP server with dual Xeon E5-2680, 8 cores each at 2.7 GHz, 192 GB RAM, two SFF SAS/SATA bays, $279.

What is included

Every dedicated server comes with free hardware replacement if a component fails, free unlimited operating system reinstallation, and the datacenter’s backup power and cooling. Custom networking can be arranged on request for setups that need private links or special routing. Like our VPS plans, billing is monthly with no long-term contract.

Scaling bare metal

Most configurations can be expanded after delivery. Additional RAM, extra storage or more monthly traffic can be added, so a DSH3 that starts as a single web server can grow into a database host later without a full migration.

When to choose dedicated over VPS

Pick a dedicated machine for large databases, virtualization of your own, high-traffic sites, big storage needs or software licensed per physical server. Stay with a VPS if you value faster delivery and a lower starting price. Dedicated servers are delivered within 24 to 72 hours, because each one is assembled, checked and installed for you.

Pre-sales Answers Before You Place an Order

These are the questions people most often ask before their first order. If yours is not here, open a ticket and we will reply around the clock.

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure about something? Our team answers sales and technical tickets around the clock.

Ask a question
What uptime can I expect from a Hungarian VPS?

Our uptime target is 99.9 percent. The Budapest facility is Tier III certified, with backup power and cooling, and the network is multi-homed across several carriers so a single upstream problem does not take your server offline. Storage runs in RAID-10 and memory is ECC, which reduces the chance of hardware-related interruptions on the host node.

Do you protect servers against DDoS attacks?

Yes, every service sits behind an internal firewall with basic DDoS and intrusion protection. This filters common attacks and suspicious traffic before it reaches your server. If you run a high-profile service that expects targeted attacks, you should combine our protection with your own hardening, rate limiting and, where appropriate, an external filtering or CDN service.

Is the Windows licence included in the price?

No. Windows Server 2016 and 2019 are installed as unlicensed evaluation editions, which usually run for around 180 days. You can activate the system with your own licence key at any time during or after that period. This keeps plan prices low and lets you choose whichever licensing arrangement suits your business.

How do I upgrade my VPS to a larger plan?

To move to a higher plan, order a new VPS with the resources you need, migrate your data to it using your own backup, then cancel the old server before its renewal date. Because both run in the same datacenter, transfers between them are fast. Our support team can answer questions about the process by ticket.

Can I order more than one Hungarian IP address?

Yes. Additional IPv4 addresses are available as a paid add-on on both VPS and dedicated servers. They come from our genuine Hungarian ranges, and each can have its own reverse DNS record set on request. Extra IPs are popular for proxy setups, multiple SSL sites and separating mail traffic from web traffic.

Do you offer phone or live chat support?

Support is provided 24/7 through tickets in the client area. A written ticket lets our engineers see your service details, keeps a clear history of every request, and allows urgent tasks such as hard reboots and reinstalls to be prioritised. You can also reach us by email at info@vpshungary.com for general and sales questions.

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No. All VPS and dedicated servers are billed monthly. You can cancel from the client area before your next renewal and no further invoices are raised. There are no setup contracts, minimum terms or early cancellation fees, which makes our servers well suited to short projects, testing and seasonal campaigns.

Can you manage the server for me?

Servers are unmanaged by default, so you handle the operating system and software. If you prefer not to, paid management is available. We can help with updates, configuration and troubleshooting, and a paid backup service is offered as well. Ask for details by opening a ticket and describing what you would like covered.

Can I run a game server or trading bot?

Yes. Game servers, trading bots, forex terminals and similar always-on applications are welcome, provided they are legal. Common ports are open, bandwidth is unmetered on VPS plans, and the central European location gives low latency to players and brokers across the region. Choose a plan with enough CPU and RAM for your specific software.

Do you offer custom networking for dedicated servers?

Yes, custom networking can be arranged on request for dedicated servers. This covers needs such as additional IP addresses, special routing or connecting several machines. Open a ticket describing your planned setup before ordering, and we will confirm what is possible in the Budapest facility and how it affects delivery time.
